Not as much of an involvement as Bill Gates, but we at Auriga Logic in our own
way have tried to do our bit as a socially conscious organisation.
Dream A Dream is a Bangalore based non-profit trust formed in 1999, working
with diverse groups of children coming from vulnerable communities. Their
mission is to protect, empower and integrate vulnerable children within
communities and to enhance public awareness around childrenâs needs and issues.
Dream-a-Dream works with over 350 children from diverse backgrounds such as
children affected with HIV/AIDS, Children from streets & slums and they do
this through active community support and a voluntary network of over 300
people.
As a part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, Auriga Logic had
offered its services to Dream A Dream. Having a web presence is the strongest
marketing tool in todayâs day and age, as a result we decided to help Dream A
Dream effectively market their cause and create the required awareness.
Dream A Dream is run largely on sponsorships and funds raised from individuals
and corporates and to congregate these funds it was essential for the
organisation to have a website that provided them with a wider reach. A website
would help the organisation to get national as well as international presence,
wherein people could know more about the cause and participate either through donations
or as volunteers.
When Dream A Dream approached us with their problem we stood up and took notice
because here was an opportunity for us at Auriga Logic to affect positive
change using our core competencies. Dream A Dream needed a website that would
talk about their initiatives, that would excite people to support them, create
awareness and also create a brand that could be easily recalled. Dream A Dream
strongly believed in world-class quality in everything they did and it was the
same for their website. They wanted a website that would be attractive,
user-friendly, well-laid out and represent the Dream A Dream brand.
Auriga Logic besides designing and developing the website also deployed itâs
Web Content Management System (CMS) - Activesite to aid in the development and
management of the website.
Activesite helps the members of the foundation to publish information
themselves. They can constantly update information & photographs related to
events and activities. The other constructive features made available through
Activesite were; online registration of volunteers, donation forms, activity
calendars and newsletters to be regularly sent to volunteers and sponsors.
Dream A Dream envisions an empowered future for all by acting as a catalyst for
social change and we are privileged to be associated with a cause such as this.
