The Business Challenge â Managing Web Content
Capital Capture was looking for a comprehensive web solution that would empower them to:
- Provide additional channels to improve customer services and facilitate in generating new leads
- Promote events like seminars, trade fairs and webinars
- Provide clients, partners, prospective clients with up to date information about their solutions and services
- Empower the Human Resource department to use their website as a strategic hiring tool
- Present a consistent corporate visual identity that could communicate professionalism, integrity and at the same time reinforce their brand value
- Enable non-technical knowledge workers to manage the website without the assistance of IT staff
Solution
Capital Capture had short listed five IT vendors for their project. Three of them were local companies present in the UK and two from India, Auriga Logic being one of them. After evaluating proposals from each of the vendors, Capital Capture chose Auriga Logic for their services, since it was exactly what Capital Capture was looking for.
On receiving the go ahead, Auriga Logic developers in India began to execute the project. Auriga Logic used their in house developed web based Content Management System (CMS) called
âActivesiteâ in the development and management of the website.
Even though most of the communication between the offshore development team (in India) and Capital Capture personnel was direct, having a UK presence act as a liaison greatly helped in streamlining project management and execution.
Regular project updates were sent to Capital Capture personnel so that they could keep track of the project status as well as provide valuable inputs.
The Final result
The project was completed within the stipulated time. Online registrations and query forms allowed Capital Capture to reach more clients and increase client satisfaction. The dependency on IT staff for managing routine tasks like updating web-content was reduced, thereby providing greater flexibility and reducing overall costs of their web publishing operation.
