Banasthali Vidyapith is a fully residential women's university, which offers an integrated education system extending from primary school to the Ph.D. level. It has been honoured with the status of a Deemed University. Banasthali has invested heavily in IT infrastructure to provide cutting edge facilities to its staff and students.
Business Challenge - Managing a Large Multi Lingual Website
Providing a comprehensive Web Content Management Solution to manage the Banasthali Vidyapith website posed the following challenges:
A: Being a large university with diverse educational offerings, Banasthali Vidyapith faced the usual problems like:
- Maintaining a consistent look and feel across pages
- Organizing content for quick access
- Keeping the website update with fresh content
B: Use the website to increase efficiencies and simplify their processes like providing for application forms, declaring examination results, publishing curriculums, etc.
C: One of the biggest challenges was to provide an interface of website in local language i.e. Hindi.
Our Solution - Activesite Web Content Management System (Web CMS)
Working together with Banasthali Staff, Auriga Logic deployed
Activesite, its Web Content Management System (CMS) to aid in the
development and management of the website. Content was collected from
various departments and cataloged made ready for publishing.
Activesite's multi locale features were leveraged to create and publish content in Hindi. Adapting to Hindi was simple since Activesite was built on open standards like Unicode (UTF-8).
The Final Result
The project was completed within the
stipulated time period and now Banasthali Vidyapith has one single
website catering to the needs of faculty and students. Now the staff
could manage
the content by themselves rather than depending on IT personnel. This
made it possible to streamline their internal procedures, by providing
information like Application Forms and Examination Results online.

- Banasthali Vidyapith can now decentralise content publishing based on different educational departments. Individual departments can manage their sections without involvement of IT staff.
- Information like examination results can be quickly displayed by uploading an excel sheet.
